The Church of the Holy Cross, Episcopal, is a diverse urban parish worshiping in a beautiful 106 year old building in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana.
We value the ministry and worship of our Anglican tradition and of the Episcopal Church. Our worship services follow the Rites of The Book of Common Prayer, Enriching Our Worship, the hymns included in The Hymnal, 1982, and those approved by The Episcopal Church, as well as traditional church music of the ages.
In the Holy Eucharist on Wednesdays at 12:15 we use the supplemental liturgical materials, Enriching Our Worship, approved by The Episcopal Church.
If you seek spiritual support, please share your needs with our Pastor, the Rev. Mary Richard.
We hope you will join us for worship and fellowship. Coffee is served all morning on Sunday mornings and is available all week long in our Church Undercroft. Our office hours are Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 am until 3:00 pm.
Our Mission Statement: The Church of the Holy Cross, Shreveport, Louisiana, strives to be the presence of Jesus Christ in our community and beyond, through worship of God, open inquiry, sharing fellowship, valued diversity, genuine inclusiveness and servant leadership — encouraging all to exercise God’s gifts and calling as we share the Gospel in ministry, to serve without regard for religious affiliation, race or economic status.
