Holy Cross Ministries

MinistriesOur Mission Statement: The Church of the Holy Cross, Shreveport, Louisiana, strives to be the presence of Jesus Christ in our community and beyond, through worship of God, open inquiry, sharing fellowship, valued diversity, genuine inclusiveness and servant leadership – encouraging all to exercise God’s gifts and calling as we share the Gospel in ministry, to serve without regard for religious affiliation, race or economic status.

We have ministries both within the Parish and throughout the community.

Our Community Ministries include: Holy Cross Villas, Holy Cross Hope House, NW Cluster, Northern & Central Louisiana Interfaith, The Fuller Center for Housing, The Philadelphia Center, St. Luke’s Medical Ministry and The Northwest Louisiana Interfaith Pharmacy.

Our Parish Ministries include: The Care Committee and Eucharistic Visitors, The Episcopal Church Women, Liturgical Ministers and The Building and Grounds Committee.

Saturday: 5:00 pm - Holy Eucharist, Rite I - Chapel

Sunday: 8:00 am - Holy Eucharist, Rite I - Chapel

Sunday: 11:00 am - Holy Eucharist, Rite II (with music) - Church

Weekday Services

Wednesday: 12:15 pm - Holy Eucharist, Enriching Our Worship - Church

In this mid-week service we are using Enriching Our Worship, approved by General Convention to supplement the rites of our Book of Common Prayer. The propers each Wednesday are those designated for the person whom the church remembers on the church calendar. We use the collects and information in Lesser Feasts and Fasts and in the new book, Holy Women, Holy Men.
