Our young people are encouraged to serve within the church as Acolytes, Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers, and in any other way they feel drawn to serve – even on the Vestry, if they are at least 16 years old!
Our nursery has received a complete cleaning, facelift and restocking, thanks to the stewardship of Meredith Lucius, one of our Young Mothers.
We always welcome children in our worship services if they and their parents choose that they be included.
Alternatively, our Nursery is available on Sundays. Kathleen Raymond, a senior in high school, cares for the children. She has been active in our congregation as a Lay Reader and Acolyte for several years. Children who are in the Nursery are brought into church about 11:45 for Communion and the conclusion of the service.
Our nursery is open on Sunday mornings, 9:45 am – 12:30 pm, for infants and toddlers.
All children and young adults are encouraged to be Acolytes and to serve in our services of worship. Acolytes are an “up front” ministry that carries our Sunday 11:00 service smoothly at every step. They light and extinguish the candles, assist the Ushers with the offering and gifts of bread and wine, ring the sanctus bell and stand ready to assist in any way that might be needed. Our Acolytes are Servant Worship Leaders.
